This Bitter Earth
Well, what fruit it bears
This Bitter Earth.
And if my life is like the dust that
hides the glow of a rose
What good am I...Heaven only Knows.
This Bitter Earth
Yes, can be so cold.
Today you are young,
too soon you're old.
But, while a voice within me cries,
I'm sure someone may answer my call!
And this bitter earth may not be so bitter after all.
This Bitter Earth
What good is love that no one shares?
And if my life is like the dust that
hides the glow of a rose.
What good am I...Heaven only knows.

A sad contribution ... are you the author of the poetry? Much can be said about this Bitter Earth these days. I hope there is love in your offing as I am sure you have more to offer than the dust that hides the glow of a rose.

I did not write the poem. I think from my perspective... if the world is bitter we should learn from that bitterness and not carry it through our days on earth...."so that this bitter earth may NOT be so bitter after all".
